Spring Valley Laboratories, Inc. is proud to announce it's 30th year in business! Opening in 1980, SVL has continuously grown into a leader in laboratory animal reasearch, laboratory services, and customer satisfaction.
History of Spring Valley Laboratories, Inc. (SVL)
Spring Valley began operations in 1980 with the signing of an NIH contract for the care and manipulation of a colony of allotype-defined rabbits and the production of custom polyclonal and monoclonal antibodies.
The contract expanded in 1985 to include the development of animal models for human disease research including HIV and HTLV1.
In 1987 the laboratory was certified by AAALAC, and in 1997 the facility expanded its work to include non-clincal GLP regulated toxicity studies specializing in vaccines, drugs, and biological products.
Over the years the building expanded from the original 5,500 sq. ft. to its current 24,000 square feet of highly efficient, state-of-the-art laboratory animal spaces holding both BSL-1 and BSL-2 studies.
We wish to thank all of our past NIH/NIAID researchers and commercial clients for making our journey possible.
